In the hearth of a diverse region

Boisseron est au cœur d'une région aux multiples visages
Between the Camargue and the Cevennes, halfway between Nîmes and Montpellier, linked to the Pays de Lunel and the Pays de Sommieres, Boisseron is in the hearth of a very diverse region.
With a bike, hiking boots, or the "third wheel" (Stricker Lomo 360) adaptable to most manuel wheelchairs, you will be able to escape and "play hookey".
Here are our own personal favourites for you to discover when walking in the neighbourhood of la Maison du Caillou..

Countryside activities

If you enjoy walking, cycling, riding, climbing, swimming or if you want to try a treetop adventure course, don’t forget to bring sun hats, water and sun cream: the sun shines 300 days a year here… a playground in the Great Outdoors!

Between two activities, why not try your hand at climbing the specially equipped rock faces in the Boisseron rock quarry just next door?

Viavino wine tourism centre

A unique site with its sustainable architecture in the heart of the Languedoc vineyard.

You can wander around the different sections of the site and discover the terroir and vineyards of the Lunel wine-producing area.
And the visit will no doubt encourage you to go further in your discovery of our wines by visiting neighbouring winegrowers who will be more than happy to share with you their passion … and their wine.

Architecture and beach

Take a guided tour of a seaside resort? Absolutely! The history of La Grande Motte is exceptional, it was designed as an ideal town by a visionary architect.

The ecological tour guide will show you shady squares, footbridges, truncated pyramids, Venus seashells, bishops’ mitres and much more. And to cool off, dive into the blue Mediterranean: a pure delight!

Pays de bouvine

A tradition, an art, a culture … A passion: bull races, la fe di biou.

“La course camarguaise” is a real sports event, rigorous, aesthetic and moving.
“In its combat with man the animal, far from being maltreated, always comes out alive, more often than not stronger, and sometimes even famous”
Evelyne Duret – L’encyclopédie de la Camargue
The Camargue traditions are firmly rooted in the area and there are plenty of opportunities to discover them.
